The first $RIDGE donation to a 6 months old baby girl diagnosed with SMA

November 11, 2021 – Belgrade, Serbia

It’s been only a few hours after adding liquidity to $RIDGE, without having slept for hours and working on the website, communities and everything when one of our core team members saw this post being shared on Social Networks by BudiHuman, a Serbian charity organization.

A 6 months old kid, needed urgent healthcare treatment, after being diagnosed with SMA and after receiving positive response from our rapidly growing community and the donations wallet growing, the 3 core team members decided to collect $2000 each (a total of $6000) from their own pockets and donate them ASAP.

November 12, the funds were successfully deposited (nearly $6000) to the official Bank Account added in the fund raiser page.

Since we raised the donation with our own crypto wallets and we didn’t want to hurt the price of the token by selling tokens from our donations wallet, we did a burn of $3,000.

The total amount was $6,000 but around $200 – $250 were spent for gas fees and commissions to cash out the tokens.

Thanks to other communities and people who donated, a total of 2,500,000 euros were successfully raised for her treatment as can be seen on this post.
